Climbing Courses in Cyprus and Kalymnos: What’s Coming in 2025–2026

As climbing continues to grow, many climbers are looking not just for destinations, but for structured learning experiences on real rock.

For the 2025–2026 seasons, Climb Mediterranean will continue to offer focused climbing courses and retreats exclusively in Cyprus and Kalymnos.

This post offers an overview of how and where courses are run, and what climbers can expect when learning with me during the coming seasons.

A Focused Teaching Model

Alongside my full-time work as a teacher in Cyprus, I guide and teach climbing in a limited, intentional way.
Rather than offering courses everywhere, I work only in places I know deeply and can commit to properly.

For 2025–2026, this means:

  • Climbing courses in Kalymnos during specific seasonal windows

  • Private guiding in Cyprus all year round

  • A small number of yoga & climbing retreats in Cyprus

This approach allows me to maintain quality, safety, and realistic availability.

Kalymnos: Structured Multi-Day Climbing Courses

Kalymnos remains one of the best places in the world for sport climbing progression.
Courses there are offered during:

  • early spring (April)

  • summer (July–August)

These periods are ideal for multi-day learning, allowing climbers to:

  • beginners climbing course

  • build confidence on lead

  • improve technique and movement on limestone

  • transition from indoor to outdoor climbing

  • develop consistency over several days on the rock

  • multi-pitch guiding and courses

Courses are intentionally small and structured, so learning can deepen from day to day.

Cyprus: Year-Round Guiding and Seasonal Retreats

Cyprus offers a very different rhythm — quieter crags, varied landscapes, and excellent conditions for learning without pressure.

In Cyprus I offer:

  • private guiding all year round, adapted to the individual

  • a limited number of yoga & climbing retreats, combining movement, rest, and time in nature

    • May 21 – May 24, 2025

    • Oct 22 – Oct 25, 2026

These experiences are especially suitable for climbers who value:

  • calm instruction

  • safety and clarity

  • embodied learning rather than performance-driven goals

Who These Courses Are For

The courses and guided experiences are designed for:

  • climbers moving from indoor gyms to real rock

  • beginners that wants to build autonomy

  • intermediate climbers wanting more confidence on lead

  • people returning after a break or injury

  • climbers who prefer small groups and clear guidance

The emphasis is always on skills, understanding, and long-term progression.

Dates, Availability & Planning

Rather than listing all dates here, all confirmed courses, retreats, and guiding availability are published on the calendar page:

The calendar is updated regularly and reflects my actual availability for Cyprus and Kalymnos.

Looking Ahead

The 2025–2026 seasons continue the same philosophy that Climb Mediterranean is built on:

  • quality over quantity

  • safety over speed

  • learning that supports confidence and sustainability

If you’re considering a climbing course or guided experience in Cyprus or Kalymnos, the calendar is the best place to start. Feel free to whatsapp for a more direct communication.

Climbing well is not about doing more routes —
it’s about learning properly and building skills that stay with you.
